As Utah County’s premier assisted and independent living community prides itself, Summerfield Retirement prides itself on building community through activities, services, but above all our staff and residents. This week we celebrated Assisted Living 2022 with our residents and staff alike, and the results were not only community-building, but fun.
Hats Off
Monday celebrated all things bright and full of delight, but Tuesday really took the cake with Silly Hat Day. What started with the CNAs and staff grew into residents joining in on the fun, making a veritable silly hat social event at lunchtime.
“We’ve got spirit, how ‘bout you?”
Spirit Day brought the fans to the floor with their team spirit, from high school wonder years to college alma maters. The day finished off strong watching football games of local BYU and U of U on the big screen, complete with snacks and good company.
Throwback Thursday
The staff got us deep in the decades with outfits from 50’s. Looks like they are all ready for the sock hop.
Pajama-Rama
Last but not least, Pajama Day started the day with a head full of messy hair, but ended with slipper sock feet and dinosaur pants. Our very own receptionist and office admin Maurina took the prize with her Grinch outfit, compete with holiday hat.
A week celebrating our assisted living was more than a joy to participate in! We thank all of our staff and residents alike for showing support for each other.
